What is Qoya?
Qoya is an expressive dance and movement practice that incorporates elements of mindfulness, yoga, and dance. Qoya is conceptualized as a contemplative movement practice and a form of mind-body medicine. It is based on a simple idea - through movement, we remember our essence as wise, wild, and free.
Qoya is also a powerful adjunct to mental health treatment, particularly when client goals involve strengthening the mind-body connection and increasing emotional awareness through expressive arts.
